Moore Springs Resort
A Northwoods Family Experience...
Amid the pines and birches of the Chippewa National Forest, there is a serene spring-fed lake called Howard Lake. This tranquil location is the site of Moore Springs Resort, a family resort that has become a tradition for many vacationers for over 107 years.
Today, our committment is to maintain the family tradition that began so many years ago by providing clean, quality lodging and camping in a quiet family setting.
When you vacation at Moore Springs, you will enjoy our clean north country cabins with today's modern conveniences. You can walk along our 1100 ft. of beautiful shoreline and enjoy the towering pines that have been so lovingly protected.
In our rustic lodge, we sell beverages, pizza, ice cream treats, etc. We also sell a limited amount of groceries and supplies, shirts, postcards, and Moore!!! You are encouraged to enjoy a game of pool, board games, books or watch a family movie from our movie selection. The lodge sits above the sandy beach, and has an excellent view of the lake.
There is so much to do at Moore Springs....Fishing on our clean clear water, semi-private lake, swimming at our sandy beach, hiking in the Chippewa National Forest, which is adjacent to the resort, or biking the Heartland Trail or the Paul Bunyan Trail is right out our back door, click here for more details. Other activities include, shuffle board, volley ball, paddle boating, pontooning, canoeing, fun-yaking, horseshoes, a wood structure playground to entice the tots, and of course...the rope swing!!!
If it's camping you want, you can choose sites that are lakeside, or wooded on the upper tier of the resort. Choose the spot to create the vacation atmosphere best suited for your family.
On Sunday mornings, a non-denominational church service is available to attend in the lodge. Our Monday Brunch is an opportunity for all the families to meet new friends or to get re-acquainted with those friends from years past.
