Heartland Bike Trail - Bike the old railroad bed between Park Rapids and Walker. A nice blacktop trail where you can visit Dorset, Nevis and Akeley along the way.

Paul Bunyan Trail - is right out our back door, click here for more details, for the more advanced biker, through the Chippewa Nat'l Forest with its hills and forest. It's 17 miles to the town of Hackensack from the trail head at Hwy 34 east of Akeley.

Dorset - "The Restaurant Capital of the World!" Enjoy a different meal everyday at Dorset, and who knows? You may be the town's next mayor!

Blue Sky Beads - Original flame-worked glass beads and jewelry, located south of Akeley.

Abigail's Attic - Antiques, Collectibles and Unique Gifts, for that family treasure hunter.

Itasca State Park - Hike or bike the park. There are miles and miles of trails. Take the trek to the Mississippi Headwaters. Shop for those Itasca souvenirs, then enjoy that Minnesota "specialty"...Wild Rice Soup at Douglas Lodge.

Aunt Belle's Confectionary - Like fudge? If you do, you better head over to Aunt Bell's for your favorite variety. She's located in downtown Park Rapids and Walker.

Evergreen Park & Family Fun Center - Go Carts, Batting Cages, Miniature Golf, Train Rides, Climbing Wall, Water Wars, Bumper Boats, Giant Maze, Super Bounce, what's your fancy?

Golf - If golfing is your thing, enjoy the many courses in the Walker, Park Rapids area.

Shingobee Recreation Area - Great for hiking, biking, X-Country Skiing, Birding.

Great Restaurants - Who doesn't like to eat? The area boasts of great restaurants for every taste and every budget.
